The Epworth League had a very fine program at the M. E. churoh Sunday. The ohurohes will all observe Christmas with trees, "Gates Ajar," and fine programs. The Presbyterian bazaar at tbe I. O. O. F. dining hall, tomorro%v afternoon and evening. Hitohoook & Farrington is the name of the grooery firm ou the east corner of Main and River sts. Mrs. L. C. Goodriob, of Ann Arbor, was the gnest of her sister Mrs. G. R. Williams the last of the week. Tbe tnission meeting at the Baptist chnrcb Sanday evening was very fine from start to finish, and there was a f'nll attendanoe. Died, Deo. 2, Chas. Smith, after a long and painfnl illness. Deceased leavns two daughters, two sons and a large oircle of friends who deeply monrn bis loss. The Christian Endeavor bas elected the followingofflcers: President, Miss Clara Eayers; lst vioe president, Mrs. Mina Smith ; 2d vioe president, Miss B8lle Tripp; secretary, Miss Calista Palmer ; treasnrer, Cassius Butler.
