The leoeption given to Bishop Wiliam Crnsveell Doane, of Albany, N. Y., by the trustees of the Hobart Guild at Harria hall Harurday evening, aud to which 1,500 invitations had been isued, was, considering the inolement weather and the bad state of the roads, argely attended. The Bishop was asi8ted in receiving the nnmerons guests y Mrs. Thomas F. Davies and several adíes and gentlemen from Detroit, ackson and Ann Arbor. Rev. Heory Tatlock introduced the guests as they passed along. The Ann Arbor Orchestra stationed n the andienoe room stairs played deightfnl selectionsof music daring the vening. Light xefreshmenta and offee were served by the young ladies f the Hobart Guild under the superision of E. V. Hangsterfer.
