He had been a great snfferer for many yeats, bnt bore his pain witb great patieuoe and, it seemed to be a great fear with him that he wonld make somebody lots of work. Mr. Smith carne from New York abont 50 years ago and settled in the sonthern part of this connty where by living an honest life he made many friends.
