They Will Plead For Spalding

Springfield, Hls., Dec. 7.- Joel M. Longenecker and John M. Oliver, counsel for Charles aWren Spalding, sentenced for embezzling state university funds, have arrived here to apply to the supreme court for a writ of supersedeas in the case. In their brief the attorneys urge that Judge Horton cut them off from showing there was no intent to embezzle and also that he refused four of their instruction to the jury, which they conteüd were proper instructions.
