On Friday evening about 3 o'clook the jnry in the case of Joseph E. Gage vs. the Township of Pittsfield, which had oocnpied the attention of the court for three days, rendered a verdict in favor of the plaintiff for $250. In the case of the National Snpply Co. vs. Jacob F. Schnh, the jary brought in a verdict Wodnesday afternoon for $10. Th6 amoont claimed in the account was $105. On Monday at noon the case of John Shadford vs. The Ann Arbor Street Railway Co., was called and occupied ♦he attention of tho court np to yesterday afternoon when it was given to the jury. The case had already been tried once in the cironit conrt at the October term last year, and the jnry rendered verdict for $4,500. Tiie railway oornpauy appealed the case to the sapreme conrt and the decisión of the lower court was reversed and the oase ed tor a new trial. The supreme oonrt roled that the lower court shonld have direoted a verdiot for the defense. The jury in the case of John Shadford vs. The Ann Arbor Street Kailway Co. tfais maruing, rendered a verdiot of $7,000 for the plaintiff. Thia ia an increase of $2,500 over the former verdict. A. J. Sawyer, the attorney for the plaintiff, snrnmed np the case in half aa hour bnt left the audienoe in tears. The jnry were ont for 19 honrs and bronght in their verdict at the opening of court this morning.
