Prof. MacLanghlin, of tbe board of control says: "It is a disgrace ou Michigan, and I am, I suppose, tü blarne. I had the task of seeing that every mau'a record is good. Stnart oame before me and toob a pledge that he was a bona fide stadent I believed bim. I knew that he had do conditions. I was spending half my time on atbletic work, and the idea of bis not being a student esoaped me entirely. "I woold not feel so bad, if we had uot been conscientions, but we did work hard to keep ont professionaJisin, and now this disgrace follows and makes it look as tliough we had not done oor work.
