In Peril From Gas From A Fire

Houstaton, Mlch., Dec. 21.- The fire at Tamarack, in the Oseeola coal sheds, is apparently gair.ing ground, despite the eftorts of 100 men woiking day and night for the past ten days, with favoring winds. The gas is almost unbearable here and in Hancock, four miles irom the flames, while at Dollar Bay, less than a mile distant, the inhabitants are nearly asphyxiated when the wind carries the gas in their direction.
