Sent Them Back To England
Abont a year ago a man named JKendall, came.from England witb a wife and two children, and settJed in Ann Arbor town, just outside the oity liniits. They had not been there long wben Kendall deserted bis faruily and leít theni to get along as best they could. Tbey struggled on throngh the snmmer and fall nntil a short time ago when Mrs. Keudall, who was in ill health and eutirely destitnte, applied to the township authorities for help. On being qnestioned Mrs. Kendall said that she had left the home of her parentis, who were wealthy, to marry Kendall to whom they objected. It was deoided that it would be cheaper to pay the fares of the family to England than to keep them over winter and it was so done.
