Chicago, Jan. 4. - It was "blue Monday" for the elevator men and the bucketshops on the board of trade. Zina R. Carter, pledged to control the one and suppress the ether, was elected chief of the LaSalle street exchange, scoring 726 votes out of a possible 1,338, while his only opponent, Z. P. Brosseau, received 584.
