Slept At His Post
Kanaas City, Jan. 4.- While James Scott, a Santa Fe railway engineer, elept in his engine cab, nis engine drawing a long string of freight and stock cars, bore down upon another â– freight train, moving in on a side track on the Santa Fe railway yards in Argentine, Kan. A collision followed. Charles K. I_,onders, a stockman, 40 years old, Brazilton, Kan., was killed, and M. L. Miarz, another stockman, of "Waverly, Kan.; A. C. Olin, stockman, Brazilton, Kan.; John C. Myers, stockman, Brazilton, Kan.; J. M. McAdow, liveryman, Ottawa, Kan., were injured. The stockmen were in the caboose of the wrecked train. None of their injuries are serious.
