The animal meeting of the Germán Mutual Pire Insuarnce Co., of Washtenaw county was held at the oourt house on Monday and was attended by nearly 1 200 of the leading Germán farmers of this connty wbo all seemed to take a I gteat interest in the proceedings. The annual reports of the officers show that the company is in .a prosperous and healthy condition. It has had but few losses to meet and the rate of assessment was tbü extremely low one of $1.50 per f1,000 insurance. The election of offloers resnlted as follows: President, Jacob J. JReiohert, of Scio; vice president, Jaoob Knapp, of Freedom ; secretary, Charles Braun, of Ann Arlior town; treasnrer, John Groshans, of Lodi ; director for three years, Jacob Jedele, of Dexter.
