The interest in the concert this even ing shonld be very great, both od ac connt of its novelry and the fact that Mr. Jonas, whose enthnsiastic reception at the Boston Symphony concerts in Boston and Cambridge is an emphatic endorsement of the opinión hele in Ann Arbor regarding his ar,tistic standing, is to take a part. No pianisl of recent years has made a more profonnd impression upon the Boston pnblio than Mr. Jonas. Besides playing a gronp of solos Mr. Jonas will, in oonnection with the Detroit Pbilbarmonio Club, perform the Saint Saens ëeptette for piano, strings, trnmpet and bass - a work whicb has never been heard in Ann Arbor. The club, whioh is an oragnization in whicb Michigan shonld take great pride, will be heard in the Grieg Quartette. Mr. Heberlein, the violincello virtuoso, who for maiiy years was soloist in Von Bnlow's orchestra, will play a solo. It will be seen that tbis concp.rt will present nsany novel points of inteiest and cannot fail of winning tne commeudatiou of an andience satisfled with DOthing short of the best.
