Washington, Jan. 11. - The senate oemmittfre on judieiary had the nomination of Attorney General McKenna to be justice of the supreme court under consideration for two hours, but adjourned without reaching a conclusiĆ³n upon it. The committee adjourned with the understanding that the chairman should cali another meeting for the purjX'se of taking up the case in advance of the regular meeting. It was stated that the failure was due to the general importante of the nomination and a general feeling that full time should be given to it by the committee.
