The inspeotion and hop given by Oo. A Wednesday evening at the armory ■was a deoided snooess. Before the danoing oommenced a short drill and inspeotion of the company was given and then the retiring captain A. C, Pack turned over the ooinpany to nis successor Capt. Ross Granger who had conduced the inspecttion. Then carne the pleasant feature of the evening when Col. H. S. Dean, chairman of the civil board, stepped forward and in a neat and complimentary speeoh presentetl Capt. Pack with a bandsome gold mounted, ivory handled sword from the oompany in token of theii respect and goodwill towards him. Capt. Pack was so sniprised that he was nnable to say anything. The company made np for him, bowever, and ?ave him three ronsing cheers, after which they were diamissed by Capt. Granger and dancing began.
