The resnlt of bis invesfcigatioos showed that 70 maobine type setters weie paid an average of $3.70 a day of eight hours and bad employnient 11 mouths in the year, which was the higbest rate paid to any skilied labor. The Jowest rate paid was to molders $1.25 per day with eight rnoüths employment dnring the year.
