Brown'is entertaining her sister Mrs. Blades frora Detroit this week. The Eastern Stars are thinking of having an entertainment in a few weeks. Mrs. Charles Qauntlett has retutned from a week's sojourn witb friends in Ann Arbor. Tbe L. O. T. M. are talking of putting a cantata before the public in the near fnture. Prof. Carrick's entertainment is the theme of oouversation this week. It poes on the boards at Qay's opera house Friday evening of this week and a great tceat is expected. The Bortle brothers who were arrested last week on the charge of holding up J. Fitzgibbons, had their second hear ng Monday, but as before the oomplaining witness failed to put in an appearauce and the men were dismissed by the conrt.
