New York. Jan. 25.- The engagement of Miss Daisy Leiter and William S. K. Wetmore is acknowledged by their friends, l.mt is not yet formally announced. Their engagement is the most important in the social world thus far of the season. Miss Leiter is the second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Levi Z. Leiter of Chicago and Washington. William S. K. Wetmore is the eldest of the two sons of Senator -and Mrs. George Peabody Wetmore of Rhode Island.
