Yesterday afternoon Jack Loney, the well known colored haok driver, of this 3ty, met with an accident which terrainatedfatally at about 2 o'clock this moiaing. He was attending a cali at the house of Chris Donnelly, on E. Catherine st., and in getting off the box of nis hack he got his foot entanSled in the lines and feil headluug to the gronnd. Hfi strnck on his shoulders and head and also dislocated his rigbt elbow. He was oonveyed, unconsoious, to Haas' livery barn, where ae was employed, and his elbow was set. His other injuries, however, were of so serious a nature and he still remained nnoonscions in spite of all eSorts to revive him taht he was taken tü the University hospital. He never reoovered consciousness and died as above stated. Mr. Loney has been a familiar figure iu tbe hack and bus business in Ann Arbor for 2c years past and was known to almost overy traveling man on the road. He was of a generoue, kindly disposition and was well liked by all who were well acquainted witli him.
