Washington, D. C. Feb. 1.- The president has sent the following nominations to the senate: George M. Bowers of West Virginia, to be commissioner of fish and fisheries; David King, collector of customs for the district of Natchez, Mass; Colonel Samuel T. Cushing, assistant commissary general of subsistence. to be brigadier genera! and eommissary general of subsistence; Charles T. McCoy, agent for the Indiana of the Cheyenne river agency, in South Dakota.
