Growing Of Sugar Beets

Land Commissioner French has appointed Jesse L. Carmichael to a clerkship in his office at Lansing. Mr. Carmichael's duties will be to take charge of a sort of bureau of information regarding the beet sugar industry, the purpose of which will be to stimulate the growing of sugar beets and the erection of sugar manufatories in the state. Information will be collected and disseminated among the farmers and the industry encouraged in every possible way.
