Somewhat of a sensation was caused in newspaper circles yesterday wheu Attorneys M. J. Cavanaugh and Arthur Brown filed a bilí in chancery on behalf of Charles F. Meyers, against Selby A. Moran, asking for the appointment of a receiver to take charge of the affairs of the Ann Arbor Register newspaper and printing office. The bül states that on June 20, 1891, Meyers entered into a partnership with Moran putt'.ng into the business as his share $250 and his experience. Sinee that time Moran has never made an accounting to him of the monies received or of the progress of the business. He thexefor asks for a final accounting, that a receii'ír be appointed, and tbat an injunction be issued to restrain Moran from disposing of or in any way-encumbering the property. Judge Kinne has issued theinjunctiou. A representative of Mr. Moran called at the Argus office this morning and said that Mr. Moran wished it stated that he conld êasily:, win the suit brqught against hina-, and that the sóle idea of entering the suit at that particular time was tó work him in jury.
