Trying To Release Von Der Ahe

Pittsburg, Feb. 15. - Chris Von der Ahe is still in jail, but President Watkins, who has undertaken to secure his release, expects to have him free before night. Watkins is awaiting the result oL the vote of the league presidents on the proposition to advance Von der Ahe the money to pay Baldwin a judgment. As soon as he has assurance of the league's support he will advance the money. This is expected soon. Watkins says Von der Ahe is in good health and exhibiting considerable patience.
