Asteria, Ore., Feb. 15.- The steamer Oregon, whicb left here for Alaska returned to port late in the afternoon, owing to the fact that fire had broken out in the coal bunkers. THe flames were soon subdued and little damage was done. The fire was discovered just after the steamer crossed the bar. The pumps were manned and water was poured in the coal bunkers. At the same time the vessel was headed back toward Astoria. When the Oregon reached here the flames were out. There was no confusiĆ³n on the boat, and the passengers hardly realized there was a fire on board.
