Bert Lord had an anction Tbursday, Feb. 24. Harvey Day is away from hume on business. And it's nobody"s business what his business is. G. Haminond's family are all suffering from tbe influenza. Bert Lord bas nearly coinpleted nioving to Briar Hill his future home. Mrs. H. S. Day bas been visiting at Rev. W. E. Caldwell's, in Ann Arbor, for a few days. Revival meetings began in the Willis M. E. churoh last Sunday evening. Rev. Benoni Gibson is the revivalist. The sleighiug is nearly or quite gone. But soine are foolish enough to have tbeir poor horses drag theru along in the mud, if there are plenty of snow hnnkc in thfi ffliKiH corners. Heury Stuinpenhusen started forLansing last Tnesday evening to attend the round-uD of the farmers' institutes. He returned Satarday reporting a good tirue. We suppose we sball hear soon from him of some of its doings. Whit Kane is prepariDg to build a large shed tbis spring. George Muore üODtemplates building a large barn, and still auother to replace the one burned on the oíd estáte of Elias Alban. Jim Buntin has taken the job of furuishing all things needfol for the barn. Fraternity grange, No. 52, was invited with otber granges througbont Washtenawconnty to Ypsilanti grange, and it gave ono of the graudtst dinners you could wish to sit to. After dinner we listened to good music, talks, etc. The addressHS were given by the Messrs. MoDougall, Capt. E. P. Allen, Senator Campbell, Mr. English, frorn near Dexter, Mrs. Emrua Campbell and Mrs. B. L. Kelly. On the evening of Feb. 19, Mrs. Chas. Greenmaa was pleasantly reruinded of her 51st birthday, wbich wonld oorne on Monday, but otber things prevented celebratiug it tbat day. She received a full set of decorated disbes, and also a beaatiful glass pitaher. The douors were well assured that the gifts were appreoiated, as both responded, and we sasv the moistened obeek, which told ns "it is more blessed to give tban to leceive."
