New York, March 8. - It Is learned that orders have been received at the navy yard from Washington to prepare Uvo detachmcnts of marines - one for the eruiser Columbia and one for the Minneapolis. There are between 300 and 400 marines at the barracks. The two detachments ave niaking up and wlll be ready to start as soon as the order comes from Washington. There was a big' rush nf uien eager to enlist at the navy yard. Before the gates ere thrown open a crowd of men had gathered arnund eager to be first to reach the recruiting office on the receiving ship Veimont.
