Ethel is sruall, but extromely sober mindert and therefore to be trusted to run ou honsehold errands. The other day ber mother called her from her play aud said. "Ethel, I want yon to ruu over to the grocer's and get me a quart of vinegar. " Ethel looked thoughtful aud hesitated. "I'd rather yet a pint, mamma, " ehe answered.
