Steamer Sold At Auction

Cairo, Ills., March 15.- Deputy United States Marshal Saup, at auction, sold the Anchor line steamer City of St. Louis to Captain W. H. Thorwagen of St. Louis for $19,050. Captain Thorwagen bought the boat for the Columbia Excursión company to take the place of the steamer Grand Republic, which burned Sunday last at St. Louis. He ■nill take the boat to St. Louis. From there she will make a trip to New Orleans and will then go into the excursión business.
