The annual sophomore Iiop takes place this evening at Grauger's. The U. of M. Comedy Club will produce "All the Comforts of Home" at the Athens Theater next Friday evening. Eev. Caroline Bartlett, of Kalamazoo, will address the women of the university tomorrow at 4 p. m., in the gymnasium. The address will be followed by a reception. Thé homeopathie hospital is to have a new elevator, this addition being necessitated by the recent marked increase in the number of patients. It will be used mainly for transferring patients to and from the operating room. The homeopathie library of the Uni yersity bas been greatly increased during the past year. When the present faeulty took charge there were not Sfty dollars' worth of homeopathie books in the library outside of those which had been donated through the efforts of Dr. S. A. Jones, the ürst dean. Over 200works were added last vear and as many more have already been ordered thus f ar this year. Tuesday afternoon C. H. Van Ostrand, of Pekin, 111., met with a very serious accident. He had been working in the seminary room when at about o o'clock he became suddenly faint and dizzy. He left the room to go down stairs, but did not wait a suöic:ent time to recover nis breath, so that when he reached the head of the stairs tie was so faint that he stumbled and feil headlon? to the toot of the stairs. Drs. Herdman and Lombard were summoned and dressed liis wounds. Ele was then carried on a streeher to ;he Observatory, where he rooms.
