The Germán emperoras king ot Prussia has the sole right to name str&ats, and he has just refused his consent to the proposal to cali two streets after the names of Dr. Bertram and Dr. Langerhaus, two popular members of the municipal council. His majesty disapproves of such a course duriug the lifetime of the godfathers. ïhis appareutly refers to men of ofïi'jial standing only, whose political opiuions might change after the streets had been named, for the Moinmsenstrasse in Charlottenburg was reoently passed with approval. Some new Germau streets have a tendency to long uames. "Prince August von Wurterabergstrasse" is today a name and nothing more. The houses have still to be built.
