U. Of M. Naval Reserves
A large crowd of excited stuuents gathered in the court room Wednesday everiing and listened to speeches f rom J. G. Halaplian, of the Toledo naval academy. and others, looking towards a recruitment of the naval reserves. After the speeches about 100 put down their names on the list and it was decided to begin drilling on the campus at once. The men will be divided into squads and put in charge of those who have had experisnce in military affairs. There will be no difficulty in securing another one hundred recruits, as the boys are much interested. The idea seems to be to get the two companies drilled so that they will be ready to offer their services should there be a cali tor them.
