Chicago. April 26.- -MPánufacturers oí and dealers in tlags are reapingr a harvest. Citizens generally at their homes and their places of business, to demónstrate their patriotism, liberally display the national colora. Merchants say the detnand f ai flags and bunting throughout the western country exceeds that even of the World's fair year. All the big stores are making arg'e demands for the red. white and blue, and claim that the manufacturers found themselves unprepared for the wave of patriotio enthusias-m. The frequent display of the Cuban flag beside "Old Glory" is noteworthy. A millinery store in State street has perhaps the must attractively deoorated wlndow in the down-town district. The upper part has a combination cf American and Cuban flags. In :he center is a statue of the Goddess of Liberty surrounded with a wreath of green leaves. She is represented presenting to Cuba the Cuban flag with the word "T.iberty." Cuba is reprfpented by a woman in tattered garments, whose vrists bear manatíes. Bicyclisís also have caught the wat spirit and nany wheelmen have decorated their bicycies with the national colors.
