To the Common Council: The Board of Public Works herewith submit the contract of Wm. ,1. Clancy for the construction of the pavement in Pavement District No. 1. Your Committee on Sidewalks would recommend: lst- That Catherine Reyer be permitted to build her sidewalk six iuehes below the present walk. 2d- That the engineer be directed to prepare sidewalk grades on the east side of Third between Jefferson and Madison and on the southwest side of Washtenaw ave. between Forest ave. and Hill,the grades to run as nearly as possible with the present lay of the land. 3d- That the following crosswalks be ordered : Brick on the east side of Thayer across Monroe. Plank on the south-west side Oakland ave. across Arch. Plank on the south-west side Oakland ave. across Arbor. 4th- Tfeat new stone or cement sidewalks be ordered built along the following streets and in front of the following property : On the east side of Thayer in front of 613, 627. 637, 643, and by the side of 802 Monroe.
