On Thursday of last week the jury in the case of Charles M. Webb vs. the estáte of Caroline Featbers, brought. ia a verdiot of 1349.39 for tbe plaintiff. The qnestion involved was whether the estáte oonld be beid for the payment of a note signed by the woman's busband and herself. The oase of E. R. Doane vs. the estáte of Caroline Feathers was taken froni the jury by the judge, the points involved in it beiug the same as the other, and a verdict was given for the plaintift for 642.50. Friday morning the attorneys for S. A. Moran argoed a motion toqaash the prooeedings in tbe oase of Wm. Jadsoii in bis libel snit for $10,000 against tbe editor of the Register. Jodge Kinne granted the motion, thus throwing tbe oase out of oonrt. Tbe grounds on whioh the motion was argued was tbat the arrest of Mr. Moran by a sheriffs deputy was illegal, as the sheriff was a party to tbe oase. The arrest in this instanoe should have been made by the ooroner. On Satnrday Sheriff .Tudsou eutered another libel snit against Mr. Moran and the arrest was thia time made in a legal manner by Coroner Ball. The appeal case of Herman Armbruter et al., f rom the decisión of the JDdge of probate, admitting to probate the last will and testament of John Armbrnster occnpied the attention of tbe court nntil Tuesday night wfaen the jnry returned a verdiot snstaining the will. The case brought by J. L. Watkina to recover an insurance premium on a policy wiitten by Skinner was settled ont of court, Watkins paying Skinner the amount of the premium. Watkina won the oase in the justice oonrt, when Skinoer appealed it to tbe circuit. In tbe damage suit of Virgie Oorniskie vs. the City of Ypsilanti the jury retnrned a verdict for the plaintiff of $1,500. Two years ago tbe plaintiff stepped into a hole in the sidewalk and reoeived injuries whioh will last her lifetime.
