Charles A. Maynard, toe otate st. grocer, was obligad to close bis doors yesterday morning on acconiÃt of financial embarrassment. Noc quite a year ago Mr. Maynard pnrcbased C. H. Cady's interest in the business with the expectation tbat his father-in-law James Foley, of Lansing, would pnt in bis capital and tboy would cany on tbe bnsiness togetber. Bnt Mr. Foley cotnmitted suicide and tbe bnrden was too great for Mr. Maynard to oarry. The Farmers & Mflohauics Bank bas a claim of $4,000 and otber small accounts amonnt to $1,500 more. The assets amount to about $6,500 so every acoount will doubtlss be paid in fnll. { Mr. Maynard bas the sympathy of many friends in bis misfortnne.
