Second Illinois In Florida.
Jacksonville, Fia., May 24. - Colonel Moulton and the boys of the Second Illinois are in the land of the palmettc and pine. The first section of the regiment, consisting of the ataff offieers and the First battalion, reaehed Jacksonville at 9:30 p. m. The other sections came in during the night, and the unloading was not begun untü in the morning. The men are in good health and spirits, except that they are disappointed at being diverted to Jacksonville, when they expected to go direct to Tampa, ready to embark for Cuba with the vanguard of the invaders. It is not known how long the regiment will be kept here, but the statement of a member of General Shafter's staff that the Jacksonville encampment is but temporary is taken to indÃcate that the Second wil] be among the first of the volunteers to be ordered to Cuba.
