Miss Octavia Bates has gone to Europe for the sninmer. Attorney General Maynard was iu the city Wednesday evening. Jacob Dengler, of Owosso, visited his motber in tnis oity, over Sunday. Qeorge Millen, of Detroit, was in the city íáatnrday to attend the funeral of the late Mre. Roberts. Miss Lottie Griest, who has lieen visiting Miss Grace Moore, returned to her home in Chicago Monday. Mr. and Mrs. James B. Angelí are rejoicing over the birth of a son, 'and President Angelí is again a grandfather. Mrs. W. W. Beeman left Monday afternoon to visit her brother in Albion, and while there will attend the May Festival. Mrs. Christian Arndts, of Marshall, ias been visiting her mother Mrs. George Henne, of VV. Liberty st. She retnrned home Tnesday. Chas. E. Hiscook, George V. Goodrich, John V". Sheehan, Edward Eberbaob, Joseph Sober, and Thomas Slater spent Snnday at Zukey Lake. Mrs. J. George Brown, of Lodi. bas been in Aan Arbor visiting her daughters, Mrs. A. Huss, Mrs. H. J. Meyers and Miss Martha Brown this week. Attorney S. O. Randall attended the 79tn birthday anuiversary of his mother, which was celebrated at her home in Birmingham, Oakland connty. W. D. Adams is away on a trip in the interest of A. A. Vantine & Co. importers of Japanese and Chinese goods, Xew York oity. He may go on the road permanently. The Fifty Club were given a very pleasant danoing party Monday afternoon from 4 to 6, by Mrs. D. M. Tyler, thns olosing their series of dauoing parties for this season.
