A petition has been filed in the probate court by a son of one of the sisters of the late James Riohards asking to have Jnho Shankland, of Superior, removed from the administration of the estáte and a new adiainistrator appointed. It is also desired to set aside Jndge Newkirk's decree giving the property of the mnrdered man to his daughter, on the ground that such a decree was illegal as she was not bom in lawfnl wedlook. Jndge Newkirk held that the f act of Janaes Richards haviug lived with the mother of his ohild for over a year oonstituted a aommon law marriage. He had also aoknowledged her as his daugbter and had frequently sent her ruoney for her support. " James Richards has two sisters living in England aad the sou of one of tbem lives in Philadelpbia. He bas employed an attorney there to look af ter this matter, and it now looks as tbough the email estáte lefr by Riobards may find its way into the bands of the lawyers employed by relatives, wbo i never cared a rap whether he was alive oi dead, to see wbat they oan get away from a poor woman wbo bas all the moral rigbt in the world to the estáte of her dead father.
