In previous yoats the nniversity bas not begnn its labors nntil Oct. 1, bnt the opening day hereafter will always be the Tuesday before the last Wednesday in September. In sonie years this may biing tbe date of opening as early as Sept. 20. Monday, Jane 27 ; At 10 a. m., meeting of the board of regenta; at 2 p. in., elass day exercises of the department of law in University hall; address by the class president, Lewis L. Thompson, of Allegan ; presentation to the nniversity of portrait of Hon. Levi T. Griffin as a class memorial, presentation speech by Carl T. Storm ; acoeptanoe on behalf of the universitx by Regent Farr ; poem by Charles Englehard ; oration by Rufus L.Weaver; history by M. H. Abbott, of Ann Arbor; propheoy by P. Y. Albright; valedictory by Robert Haly. At 8 p. m., the senior promenade on the oampns. Tuesday, Jnne 28: At 10 a. m., class day exercises of the literary department and tbe engineering department, uuder the Tappan Oak : Address by the olass president F. S. Simons, of Detroit; history by Chas. H. Farrell, of Dexter; oration by Chas. Simons, of Detroit; poem by C. F. Gauss, of Ann Arbor; prophecy by Florence BT. Poiueroy, of Ann Arbor; ptesentation of memorial, address by Paul W. Voorheis, of Ann Arbor. At 2 p. m., class day exercises of tbe dental department, in tbe dental ampitheatre: President's addtess, R. J. Roper; address by Dean Taft; history by Robt. B. D., Professor in Cornell University. At 1:15 p. in., oommencement dinner. (Dinner tiokets must be secured at the steward's office, prioe 50 cents each. )
