State Normal College Commencement

The Normal College conirnoncerunt exercises took place Weduesday rnorning at 9 o'olook in Normal hall, Ypsilanti which was orowded to the cratside doors. Long streams of whito and greeu, the Normal colore, were drooped froru the center of the ceiling to the sides, and about tbe platform were potted plants, presenting a very pretty appearanoa. The commencement address was made by Inspector James L. Hngbes. wbo took for uis subject "The Dnty of Self-development," Hon. Perry F. Powers presented the diplomas and Principal Riohaid G. Boone couferred the degrees. The program was libarally interspersed with music and the exorcises closed with tbe benediotion. At noou all the graduates, alumni and iuvit8d frieuds assembied in tbe gymnasium, where the ladies of the Ladies' Library Association had prepared a snmptuons commenoement dinner.
