A Bogus Baggage Man

fOn Monday a student who rooms near tbe high sohool on returning to bis room found a stranger seated there, wbo in the ooolest manner possible asked him if "that trnnk was ready to go." The student asked what trnnk, aud was told the one tbat was ordered to be taken to the depot. Ou being told there was no trnnk there to be taken away, the stranger said, "There most be some ruistake abont it somewhere. There was an order left at the barn. Maybe they made a mistake ia the number. I will go to the next honse and soe," and be went off down tbe stairs. Some time afterwards the stndent went to the dresser to get his watoh whioh he had left lying there. Bnttit had gone with the strange man wno' bad impersonated the baggage man.
