Washington, .Tune 28. - Dr. Nicholas Senn of Chicago, who was called from Chickamauga by the war department, has reached Washington and has been made chief surgeon of the army of invasión. He has been placed in charge of the field hospital work at Santiago, and wil] leave for the front with General Guy V. Henry, commander of the división that has been formed of the brigades of Generáis Duffield and Garetson from Camp Alger. Dr. Senn's new duties are very portant. Kis orders have been drawn so as to laave him free in a large measure to use his discretion in emergencies, and he will be given all the supplies he desires. Dr. Senn said that It was uncertain when he would leave for Santiago. He said he was ready to go at a moment's notice and was only awaiting orders. It is probable that he ■will not leave Newport News before the end of the week, when it is expected to send a portion if not all of General Garretson's brigade. Should General Mües go to Santiago Dr. Senn will be attached to his staff.
