An example of the queen's atately and kindly courtesy and admirable tact says a London exchange was witnessed during her majesty's drive on last Moaday afternoon at Cimiez. The royal party reached a narrow bridge over the rlver at the same time as a funeral procession of the poorer class. The Jatter immediately ranged itself on one eide to allow the royal vehicle to pass. Her majesty, however, ordered her carriage to stop, anö bowed her head xeverently as the cercueil was borne alcng. The mourners were visibly touched ty the attention, and respecttully uncovered as they passed the queen.
