Dr. W. tí. Kusseü (Colwyn "-Jay) nftTW ated an extraordinary expsri-ence he ïas had with a deaf patiënt, who had )een deaf in one ear for more than a rear. On examination with the specuum he saw a dark mass which, after a long time, he dislodged. To the surprise of himself and the patiënt, lt onsisted of a wasp of a small size in perfect condition, including wings, exept that the last joint of the abdomen was missing along with the sting. Now ame out the history. Three years ago ast July Miss C. was looking at some ombs from a wasp's nest which her young brother had captured, when on of the young wasps flew into her ear and she heard a buzzing, but afterwards as the disturbance ceased sh hought it had escaped and took no urther notiee of the matter, as there was no deafness till about two years after in that ear. Probably the insect was too young to sting and became urrounded with wax, which preserved t like a fly in amber. After the removal of this remarkable foreism body.
