Washington, July 9. - The house adourned precisely at 2 p. m. Immense cheers fqllowed by singing oL patriotic songs, ftepresentative Bromwell of Ohio proposed three cheers for President McKinley, .which were given twice over by the Republicans. Then folowed cheers joined by the entire house for A3miral Dewey and General Joe Wheeler. The house was one vast demonstration and flags were passed about to every member and were enthusiasticaly waĆved while the members sang the close of the Fifty-flfth congress. The senate followed at 2:06 p. m.
