Attoruey Lee N. Brown, of Ypsilani, on Wfldnesday, throngh bis attorney J. Willard Babbitt, filed a bilí in the circuit court for divorce from bis wife 3ertha Brown, to whorn he was married Deo. 12, 1894. To read the bill of oomplaint, whioh is a lengthy doounient and contaius 11 distinot ohatges, one wonld think that Mr. Brown was one of the worst abused men in the oommunity. He charges his wife with gieat ornelty to hini and vsith having oansed biin great mental anxiety. He says that on April 12 last she slapped bim in the face, and thLt she had done so on other occasions, bnt whioh he would not resent on acoouut of her sex. He also says that at different times sbs has pretended to be crazy and that on one ocoasion sbe tnrued her child out in the snow on a bitter cold night and thereby harrassed him and oaused him great distress of mind and annoyance. The rest of the oomplaint is on muoh 'hthe same order. Mrs. Brown's answer to the bilí has not been filed yet, bnt it is intimated that the charges of crnelty will not rest entirely with Mr. Brown and that he is by no means guiltless.
