Mesdames Pyle and Gardner have retnrned from their Detroit visit. Mr. and Mts. E. "Wiloox and children speut Sunday in Wbittaker. Mrs. Eli Moore, of Anu Arbor, visited Milau friends the last of the week. Mrs. Carriok and ohildren retnmed from their Dnndee visit Monday rrjorning. Mrs. Luoy Clark will leave this week to attend the Cbautauqua Asserably at Winona, Ind. Master Verne Blackmer is the happy owner of a fine Shetland pony. He calis it Dewey. Rev. and Mrs. F. O. Jonfls have retnrned from their attendane at the Orion Asserably. Mrs. Minto is entertaining her mother and Bister Mrs. Wilkinson and daughter Mabel from Vernon, Mioh., for a few days. Miss Florence Chapín is entertaining Miss Maud Reynolds from Detroit for a few days. Mrs. Laramer, of Topeka, Kac. is the gnest uf ber parents Mr. and Mrs. A. Osborn near Milan. Miss Lncy Curtís entertained her oonsins D. J. Cartis and son from Britton the last of the week. Editor A. B. Smith and wife are at the Straits of Maokinao having an enjoyable time. Frank Ross is running the Milan Leader in the absence of the editor. Monday rnorning Nelson Rice's barn was strnck by lightning and burned to the ground. Loss a few hnndred dollars. The fire department was nuable to get there in time to do efSoïent work. Mr. Rioe lives on Wabash st. near the Saline river.
