Santiago de Cuba. July 26.- Colonel Henry L. Turner's regiment, the First Illinois, is now encamped on the hills two miles east of Santiago. The cago boys are well fed and comfortable and their health is the best of any regiment on the island. A strict quarantine of twenty-one days, it is expected. wilt be enforced against yellovv fever and all other forms of contagión. Little apprehension is feit by the army or medical officers on account of the fever. W. L. Shepherd of the Postal Tele ■ graph Cable company. who is seriously ill with typhoid fever, has started for home on a hospital ship. Other cases of sickness in the camp are considered by the surgeons to be of trivial conseauence.
