A Denver shoe store recently ernployjd a young man for clerk who had been in the bicycle business so long that he was an enthusiast. A yonng lady called at the store for a pair of shoes. "I want a pair of shoes," she rernarkBd demurely. "What gear?" he inquired, bowing. "Sir!" "I meant what size. " "About 2}L." "What model - er, what last?" "A C last, I thiuk. " "Do you like the high sad - the high heels?" "Just medium." He got the shoe she seemed to want, and after fitting it carefully remarked absentmindedly : "Youcanwear loose bloomers â– with that frame, and it will never puncture.
