A servant lase at an inn once mafle a funny mistake. Opening the door of one of the rooms, she saw, as she thougfot, the handle of a warming-pan stlcklng out near the foot of the bed. "Bless me," she said, "that Btupid Martha has left the warming-pan in the bed; she mlght have set the place on fire." Taking 'hold of the handle, ahe gave it a violent Jerk, when up Jumped an awakened traveler, shoutlng lusttly: "Halloa, there! leave my wooden leg alone, will you?"
