The startling aunounoment is made that Riügliug Bros. ' World's Greatest Shows, whioh exlribits in Ann Arhor, Saturday Ang. 27, bas been fully doubled in size sinoe last season, so tbrt it is now not only the biggest and best aieriio exbibition iu America but is also in every respect tbe most oolossal enterprise of its kind ever organized. Tbere are twioe as rnauy aars; twioeas many elephanfcs; twioe as many people; twioe as in n oh seating capaoity; twioe as tnany raie animáis; twice as mauy tents; twioe the hippodrome space, and twioe the nurnber of surpassing arenio features, while a priucely fortune has beeu expended iu au allnew street parade, whioh for wealtb of costumiDg, riohness of ooloring and novelty of feature has never been eq,uallerj. To organiza this stupendous traveling exposition bas involved an expeaJitnreof $3,700,'000, a snmeqnal, if not greater, thaa the combiued inveeted capital in all other arenio exhibitions combinerl, while the daily cost of operating and maintaining this greatest of shows averages over $7,400 - an amount suffioieut to eqoip a goodsized oiicus. No other show oould exist with half its expense; no otber show oan compare with it in resources ; no other show has a feature worthy to be classed in the same oategory as those presented with tbis mighty exbibition. Think of 25 elephants, tanging from the tiniest of baby elephants up to the largest elephant that ever trod the earth; think of 400 matoblass, spirited, high-stepping horses, proudly caparisoned in cloth of gold and having plumes; think of a phalanx of over 1,000 people, among whom are htindreds of artists, espeoially imported from Europe for the sole purpose of amusiug and instruoting tbe discriminating Atnerioan public; tbink of hundreds of rare wild animáis, exhibited in the most beautifully oarved and fantastioaly órnate golden oages ever construoted; think of a fauge bippodrome amphitheatre, so enormous in its dimensions as to farnish seating oapacity for tbo ntire population of agood-sized county; think of a ground spaoe devoted to aienio displays alone large euough to oover a city blook, and a racing course, all nnder oanvas, full onefourtb of a mile in length. These are the salient characteristics of Kingling Bros. ' truly marvelous exbibition aod even they can give but a faint idea of the massiveness, the striking beauty and imperial splendor of this superb enterprise.
